Secret Double Life – I Suspect My Spouse is Cheating on Me

Your spouse is different. They seem to react to things in a new way, and you get that funny feeling inside suspecting something is up. Does this sound like you? A cheating partner is going to suddenly be overwhelmed in the affair. Everything and anything will be about their secret lover. They will adapt to suit this person, even changing their appearance choices – different haircut, new cologne/perfume, even a brand new wardrobe. This is a key factor in spotting a cheating spouse. Yes, there are times when a person gets to a point where they need a change – but not all at once! If they are trying to impress their dirty little secret, they will do whatever it takes.

Anything they can do to cause conflict between you two, they will attempt. The further they can be from you, the safer they are with their secret – or so they think. If you spouse becomes more defensive, opts to argue more and create tension between the two of you, you might want to suspect some ulterior motive. You will also get the “I’m too tired” or “Not tonight, I have a headache” lines.

Unknown charges on your credit cards or unfamiliar numbers on your phone bill could also indicate your spouse is cheating. Buying gifts for a secret lover is a normal part of the game, and if they are not together all the time, there will be phone conversations. Another indicator is more than normal time online – probably chatting or emailing them. You will also notice that they virtually sprint to get the bills before you – that way can cover their tracks.
